Where
are we ?
Sidi Kaouki was a local saint who lived in the late 19th century
who was known for his healing powers. The marabout (shrine) which
houses his tomb is perched on the rocks projecting into the ocean.
It became a place where pilgrims came and performed expiatory sacrifices.
Behind the shrine, between the endless beach and the forest of argane,
mimosa and juniper, lies a small village of sheperds and fishermen.

| Sidi
Kaouki enjoys, like Essaouira, an equable microclimate. The temperature
ranges from 25 degrees in summer and 16 degrees in winter.
The ocean, although cooler than the Mediterrannean, is invigorating
and invites you to frolic in the waves. Windsurfers, kite surfers
and surfers are attracted to this very special beach in Morocco.
The wide open spaces around Sidi Kaouki are marvellous for camel
and horse riding as well as cycling.
Sidi Kaouki is only 25km from Essaouira : a bus or taxi to the town
takes twenty minutes.
